To make a filigree floral brooch, start with a 1-1/2" oval brooch setting. Roll a thin sheet of clay, cut it to fit, and press it into the setting. Roll a 1/4" ball of the same clay and place it at the center bottom. Press a filigree heart on top of the ball. Mold several small flowers and leaves in pastel clay. Arrange the molded pieces as desired. Bake the clay (including the filigree and brooch). Paint the cooled clay with Delta Ceramcoat® Soft Tints . When thoroughly dry, varnish with Fimo® matte lacquer. Use Arts & Crafts Goop to attach any loose pieces. Use a head-pin to suspend a glass teardrop bead below the filigree.

RosebudAdditional Ideas:

  • Make matching earrings with a flower and one or two leaves each.
  • Glue a flower and leaves to a filigree finding and add a glass bead for a necklace pendant.
  • Purchase a lipstick case with flip-up mirror and decorate with molded flowers.
