ake gift tags as special as the gift

- Print the pattern pieces and cut
them out. Check the FAQ for general Push
Molds directions.
- Roll conditioned white clay less than 1/8" thick. Holding
an X-acto knife perpendicular to the clay, cut one tag back. Use
a drinking straw to punch a hold for hanging.
- Roll conditioned red (or other color) clay less than 1/8"
thick. Cut one heart frame. Place it face down on white paper.
- Position the clay back, right side down, on top of heart frame.
The frame will extend beyond the back's edges. Press lightly along
the edges to fuse the two pieces.
- Flip pieces over and place on the paper again with the frame right
side up.
- Mold one animal head and trim it along the neckline. With a pea-sized
ball of clay, mold just the two front paws. The paws should be less
than 1/4" thick.
- Refer to the image to position the head and paws on the gift tag.
Place the clay on paper in a baking pan. Bake according to clay
manufacturer's directions. Cool.
- Following the techniques in the Painting
Tips, paint the animal's eyes and nose with acrylic paints.
Painting the fur is optional.
- Print "to" and "from" names with a fine-point
permanent marker or Prismacolor pencil.
- Attach the finished tag to your gift with fine metallic cord.
