ake this sweet light switch cover by
starting with an unfinished 3.5" x 5.5" wooden wall plate.
Paint the borders Wedgwood Blue and the center Chambray Blue. (Delta
Ceramcoat® acrylic paints were used
for this project.) When dry, dot with White. Add dashed "stitching"
lines with a permanent black marker.
Follow the directions in the FAQ for molding Fimo polymer clay. Mold six carrots, filling the mold
with orange clay for the carrots and light green clay for the tops.
Mold one large bunny in Fimo Flesh. Tip: The bunny's
head can be molded separately, pushing the point of the clay into
the nose first. Then mold the body, trim the necklines to fit, and
join the two pieces.
Bake the clay following package directions. Check the Painting
Tips section for general painting instructions. Step-by-step photos
for the bunny appear below. Delta Faux Finish Glaze Base was mixed
with Bambi Brown and Rouge for the bunny. Attach finished bunny and
carrots to switch plate with Arts & Crafts Goop
