Tara Harrison stamped one of her favorite owls and then lightly colored with colored pencils. The faux stitched borders were pierced and then traced with coordinating gel pens. Add a bit of ribbon, and it's ready to send.

Materials: Textured or smooth cardstock in blue, cream, brown, and tan. One brown eyelet, reversible striped ribbon from Archiver's. Rubber stamps: "Pretty Birds" by Kim Hughes, ©Cornish Heritage Farms.
Craft supplies: Needle piercing tool, mouse pad, sharp scissors, 1/8" hole punch, art supplies for coloring or painting. Tan, blue, and brown gel pens, pop dot, double-sided tape runner.
Techniques: Stamp your choice of image and color as desired. Print the faux stitched borders on transparency sheet. Line up the printed transparency as desired on your card, then pierce. Draw "stitching" lines with gel pens and assemble the layers.
