3-D Cardstock Flowers in Flowerpot

Shaped, pierced paper flowers on wire stems in a cardstock flowerpot, by Judi Maddigan

Project Description

Three-dimensional pierced flowers with button centers make a cheerful arrangement in this cardstock flowerpot. The flowerpot measures 2.5" high. The finished arrangement is 6.5" tall overall. You could also personalize this for a special occasion by adding one of our Pierced Tags.

Materials & Techniques

Digital stamping images from AngelsLanding.com: Pierced Flowers or Simply Flowers. Both of these sets include the free flowerpot template.

Materials: good quality cardstock in desired colors, satin ribbon, glue dots, floral wire, floral tape, five buttons, sphagnum moss, and a piece of polystyrene foam to fit inside the flowerpot.

Craft supplies: Needle piercing tool, sharp scissors, needlenose pliers, craft glue (to attach the foam inside the flowerpot), Scor-Pal (optional) and scoring tool.

Techniques: The flowerpot is made from the PDF template that comes free with our Pierced Flowers and Simply Flowers sets of digi-stamps. Multiple flowers were printed on 8.5" x 5.5" half sheets of solid-colored cardstock. Each bloom has both a darker and a lighter shade of color. The leaves were also printed on two shades of green cardstock. The flowers and leaves were pierced before cutting out. See our tutorial for nine step-by-step photos showing how to attach flowers and leaves to wire stems.
