Copy Part of a Digital Stamps PDF File

Follow these easy steps to copy and print only specific images from a PDF page.

Copying images with the Snapshot Tool in Adobe Reader

In addition to the individual PNG files, many of the Angels Landing digital stamps have PDF versions that are ready to print at 8.5 x 11". To open PDF files, you probably have Adobe Reader on your system. If not, it's free to download at Adobe.

Adobe Reader has an easy-to-use Snapshot Tool for copying only part of a page. For printing the full page of images, see this tutorial instead: How to Print PDF Files. The directions below are for Windows.

Zoom the view of digital stamps

Open the PDF file in Adobe Reader. In the drop-down box, zoom the view larger. For this example, the display size is being set to 200%.

Tip: To maintain the quality, don't skip this step. The idea is to copy it large, then scale it down to the size you want to print.

Copying digital stamps with the Snapshot Tool

In the main menu, go to Tools > Select & Zoom > Snapshot Tool.

With the Snapshot Tool, Drag a box over the area that you want to copy.

As soon as you release the mouse button, you should get a pop-up message that says the selected area has been copied. Click OK.

Tip: If you didn't capture quite what you wanted, you can drag a new box over the image and repeat until you get it right.

You can now paste the copied image into a graphics program or a new Word document.

If you are using Word, hit "Ctrl + V" to paste it, then hit the backspace key. That will select the image, and then you can drag one of the little black squares in the corners to scale it down to the size you want to print.
