AL Eye Candy on the Web

Today I’m introducing a new blog feature called “AL Eye Candy.” It will showcase the work of other designers using Angels Landing images on their blogs or online galleries. The neat part is that you’ll get to see some great examples of completely different styles.

The AL stands for Angels Landing, of course. Originally, I had thought to call it “AL Sightings,” but that sounded too much like UFOs and aliens in Alabama  . The AL Eye Candy will be in separate posts, and in the future, you’ll be able to pull up the whole set by clicking on that blog category in the right column.

I’m delighted to kick off AL Eye Candy with this marvelous card by Jennifer Scull. She has limited her palette to earth tones, and the rustic textures are so appropriate for the Australian Outback. She even colored her paper with an eco-friendly technique: coffee grounds. You can see a larger photo and read more about it on her blog, Just Coffee Please… & Stamps, & Ribbons, & Paper. Be sure to click on her post’s image to see all the embellishment details.

Have you created something special with Angels Landing images? I’d love to mention your work in my blog’s AL Eye Candy. Please send me a link to your card or other project. And thanks, Jennifer, for starting us off with such a wonderful example.
