AL Eye Candy 6-1-09
When I named the gallery on my website, I called it Paper Crafts Idea Gallery. I was thinking inside the box. Leave it to designer Lauri Ingram to think outside the box. A few days ago, she posted some innovative uses for digital stamps that hadn’t even occurred to me when I designed them. And neither of these two projects are paper.

After loading a sheet of Shrinky Dinks for inkjet printers, Lauri printed images from the Pierced Flowers and Pierced Tags sets. She attached them with metallic-colored jump rings. I’d like to try this idea for wine glass charms. See more photos of Lauri’s other digi-stamp charms on her blog, Paperville.

Digital Flowers on Glass by Lauri Ingram

Who would have thought that digital stamps could be adapted for glass surfaces? Lauri’s second clever project idea was inspired by Lauren Meader. Lauri combined several images from the Pierced Flowers set and printed it for a template. Using the printout as a pattern, she drew the design in dots with four colors of pearl pens by Vitrea. After baking, these paints are permanent, microwave and dishwasher safe. More project photos are on Lauri’s blog: Paperville.
