Summer Wedding Card by Lynn McAuley

This card was created with Pierced Flowers and the Swirls Pierced Background. The daisies were accented with a Spica pen and Stickles, cut out, pierced, and layered using dimensionals over the polka-dot grosgrain ribbon. The pierced background was mounted with the back side up because Lynn absolutely loves that look. The sentiment was computer generated.

A Warm Hello by Sparkle Smith

For this summer themed card, Sparkle has set this sweet bear and bird inside a Nestabilities circle. The bright turquoise colors complement and balance the bird. The vivid coloring on the images is done with Copics. The gorgeous patterned paper is Basic Grey Marrakesh, and Sparkle has added a Prima flower and button for the perfect embellishments.

Home Tweet Home Ornament by Alma Olhava

This week Alma chose to create a 3D birdhouse ornament inspired by Jen Del Muro. This project shows how versatile Angels Landing images can be by combining several different image sets: kookaburra birds (Aussie Animals), branch (stem from Simply Flowers), and leaves for roof (Pierced Flowers). To create a more naturalistic feel for the birdhouse, Alma used the leaves from Pierced Flowers to simulate shingles on a roof topped with a satin green ribbon and string for hanging. The birdhouse would also be great for displaying on a shelf or table.

This is a closer view of the kookaburras on Alma’s ornament (above). She used the stem from the Simply Flowers set as a branch for the birds to perch on. They have been colored and subtly shaded with Prismacolor pencils. This would make a wonderful addition to a housewarming gift to welcome a new neighbor or to give to a friend who just moved into a new house.
