Design Team: Friday Bonus 7-10-09
We have a few fun ideas from Alma, Lauri, and Suzy this week. The first is a tutorial for making tile coasters with digi-stamps, the second is an acetate card with a die cut, and the third is a colorful koala card. Click the thumbnails to visit the designers’ blogs for larger photos and more details.
Home Tweet Home Tile Coaster by Alma Olhava |

Inspired by the Home Tweet Home ornament, Alma created this unique gift to give to someone who just moved into a new home. The tile coaster is adorned with the "Home Tweet Home" computer-generated sentiment customized with the family’s last name, and images from Aussie Animals, Simply Flowers, and Pierced Backgrounds. Visit Alma’s blog for three new tutorials: using PowerPoint with digi-stamps, printing on tissue paper, and making a tile coaster. |
Acetate Card by Lauri Ingram |

Acetate cards are all the rage these days. They can look tough to make, but really aren’t. Lauri used a die cut from Technique Tuesday to mimic a branch for a little bird from the Mini Bears & Birds set to sit on. The sentiment "A little birdie told me…" comes from the same set of digi-stamps. |
Log Roll Card by Suzy Haghighi |

This sweet little koala from Aussie Animals is colored with Copic markers and put on a base of Stampin’ Up!’s new In Color textured cardstocks and Sassafras Lass patterned paper. He is sitting on a "log" of rolled patterned paper. The balloon and tag are decorated with K&Company crystals. |

I’ll be back again on Monday with something new from July’s Guest Designer, Denise Marzec. And next Wednesday, please join us on our Blog Hop to celebrate this month’s new releases, complete with two more chances to win free downloads of Angels Landing digital stamp sets. The Design Team is already working with the new images, and I can’t wait to see their creations.
