Design Team: It’s P-A-R-T-Y Time

Everyone loves a party, and the Design Team’s projects for this week center on fun P-A-R-T-Y themes. They’ve made some special gifts, creative favors, and colorful invitations. Click on the thumbnails below to view larger photos and more details on the designers’ blogs.

Criscross Invitation by Sparkle Smith

Sparkle's digi-stamp invitation

This is a crisscross card holder for a standard A2 card, and it would be easy to turn the insert into an invitation for any event. This card uses one of the bears from the Mini Bears & Birds set. Daffodils are Sparkle’s favorite flower, so she was drawn to this one. The bear is colored with Copic markers, and a border punch was used for the inside of the invitation.

Pink Roses Gift Set by Cheryl Walker

Cheryl's digital stamps gift set

Cheryl made a gift set that could be used at a party, or to give as a gift, or for birthday favors. She designed the box envelope and the flat notepad. They both have a ton of trim and ribbon. She added roses to all three. The teddy bears are airbrushed with the Copic airbrushing system. She used a heart tin and put lace pieces on the top, and then added the teddy and tag. She says she had a lot of fun putting this all together. Visit her blog for additional photos of this set.

Lip Gloss Party Favor by Lynn McAuley

Lynn's lip gloss favor

This party favor was created using Angels Landing’s July release Marching Band 2. Lynn sees lots of possibilities with these jointed animals. For this lip gloss holder, she printed the bear without his tuba and added an empty back arm to help hold the scrap paper birthday gift. The sentiment is from Never a Loss 4 Words by Kitchen Sink Stamps. The papers are Baja Breeze, Rich Razzleberry, and Whisper White by Stampin’ Up, and Lemonade by BasicGrey.

Gable Box by Cheryl Rowley

Cheryl's gable box

Cheryl made this gable box using directions from Splitcoast Stampers. The larger bear from Mini Bears & Birds with his daffodil fits perfectly on the front. This could be used as a party favor for birthday guests or as a small gift box. For the link to the directions and information on how she colored her bear, please travel to her blog.

Spinner Card Invitation by Alma Olhava

Alma's spinner card

To create this delightful spinner invitation and the acetate box above, Alma used several images from Marching Band 1 as well as Pierced Tags. How fun would this be to get an interactive card in the mail and to receive a box full of goodies just for attending the party? Can you spell F-U-N?
