Marching Band Mobile by Godelieve
Godelieve Tijskens, our Guest Designer for August, has come up with this creative idea for making a hanging mobile with digital stamps.
This mobile in neutral colors has a roof made from the Pierced Backgrounds set. It is printed full size on cream cardstock for the outside, and on brown cardstock for the lining. It is decorated with punched holes and small flowers from the Pierced Flowers collection.
Animals from the Marching Band sets are also printed on cream and brown cardstock and pieced together. Gingham ribbon is by Stampin’ Up! Visit her blog to see more photos and details: Stamping Mathilda.
Bedankt, Godelieve
Godelieve, it has been such a pleasure to work with you over the past several weeks. This was my first experience with a European Guest Designer. You made my job easy by sending exactly what I needed — and emailing it early, too. Your creations have been delightful to see, always beautifully made and approached in original and distinctive ways. Your photographs have been gorgeous. Bedankt voor alles, Godelieve. If Google translated the Dutch correctly, that means “thanks for everything.”
Hello, Mel
After our wonderful first two Guest Designers this summer, the September Guest has some big shoes to fill. I’ve found just the designer to do it, too. Mel McCarthy will be joining us for the Mondays in September. Many of you are already familiar with her through her popular blog, Mel Stampz. You can read her background on this page on my main website: Digital Stamping Guest Designers. Tune in again next Monday to see Mel’s first Angels Landing project.
The brand new Fall 2009 Design Team will be with us this Wednesday to share their first items. Their theme this week will be Sprakle, Glitz & Bling. I hope you’ll check back again in two days to see what they create. I can hardly wait.
